Autumn season

Autumn, the season of the 12 months between summer and wintry weather throughout which temperatures gradually decrease. It is often referred to as fall in the United States due to the fact that leaves fall from the bushes at that point. Autumn is typically described in the Northern Hemisphere because the period between the autumnal equinox day and night is identical in length, September 22 or 23, and the iciness solstice year’s shortest day, December 21 or 22; and in the Southern Hemisphere because of the period between March 20 or 21 and June 21 or 22. The autumn temperature transition between summer warmness and winter cold takes place handiest in middle and high latitudes; in equatorial regions, temperatures generally vary little in the course of the 12 months. In the polar regions, autumn is very brief. For bodily reasons of the seasons, see the season.

The idea of autumn in European languages is attached to the harvesting of plants; in many cultures autumn, like the other seasons, has been marked through rites and gala revolving around the season’s significance in food production. Animals collect meals in autumn in practice for the coming wintry weather, and people with fur regularly grow thicker coats. Many birds migrate in the direction of the Equator to get away from the falling temperatures. A common autumn phenomenon in the crucial and jap United States and in Europe is Indian summer time, a duration of unseasonably heat climate that every now and then occurs in overdue October or November.

Autumn falls

We had a bit of rain today and it’s gotten cooler. The leaves are starting to turn colors and fall off the trees. Some are even on the ground now. And it’s starting to get dark earlier. I like this time of year. When I was a kid I used to really look forward to falling. I liked the colors and the cooler weather. It reminds me of the times we’d go out in the woods and pick up leaves. We’d walk around and just grab piles of leaves and then make leaf piles. I used to love doing that. I’d love to do it again soon if it wasn’t for all the things I have to do around the house. I’m going to have to get it done soon, though. The leaves are starting to cover the yard and I don’t want to be doing yard work in the winter. I’d like to get it done before it gets too cold so it doesn’t have to be done in the snow.

autumn season

Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter. At the spring equinox, the Sun appears to pass through the First Point of Aries, and the day and night are about the same length (12 hours). As autumn progresses, the days grow shorter and the nights longer, until the winter solstice, when the days are shortest and the nights are longest. The autumn months (September, October, November) are customarily considered the “fall season” in the Northern Hemisphere and the “falling season” in the Southern Hemisphere, and the spring months (March, April, May) are the “spring season”. ## Autumn In North America, autumn is usually considered to start with the September equinox and to end with the winter solstice. Astronomically, the equinoxes and solstices are “mid-points” of the seasons rather than their beginning or end. In meteorological terms, the start of autumn is usually considered to be mid-autumn.

Autumn leaves

The leaves start to change from green to yellow, orange, and red in the autumn. Most of the leaves have fallen by late October and the rest of them fall off the trees in November. Whenever a leaf falls from a tree it dies. The leaf has been connected to the tree by a special part of the leaf called the petiole. The petiole is a small green stalk that connects the leaf to the branch of the tree. As it grows the leaf continually produces cells that are filled with water, sugar, and other useful substances. The petiole takes these substances down to the branch and is shared with the branch. The branch has special cells that use sugar to make more wood. The wood is what makes the tree grow. The wood is also used to make the branches, trunk, and roots. The petiole also has a very important job to do. It stops the leaf from falling off the tree. This is a very important job because if the leaf fell off the tree it would be very difficult for the tree to make food.
