Baby food recipes are some of my favorite things to make! I have been making baby food since before my son was born, and I know how much fun it can be to create homemade baby food at home. There’s something special about watching your child eat the foods you’ve grown yourself. Here are some quick recipes to get you started.

Papaya
This recipe is perfect for babies under 6 months old who don’t yet have teeth. Just pure papayas straight out of the freezer until smooth. Add some banana and sweet potato if desired. You can even add spices like cinnamon and ginger. If you want to try it with a little extra flavor, add some honey to bring out its sweetness.

Carrot
Carrots are a great way to introduce different colors and flavors to your baby. Start off with plain carrots and then slowly add orange juice and a sprinkle of cinnamon. A sprinkle of sugar helps boost the sweetness.

Blueberry
Blueberries are delicious right out of the freezer, but they are also wonderful when blended together with bananas. Use frozen blueberries instead of fresh ones so that they won’t turn pink.

Ingredients
– 1/2 cup breast milk or formula – 2 tablespoons apple sauce – 1 cup water – A pinch of salt.

Directions
Boil the apple sauce and breastmilk together until the milk turns thick. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. Let cool before serving. If using apple juice instead of apple sauce, add about 1 teaspoon of vinegar per serving. This recipe makes enough for one baby at a time.
